Malgamú Music is an Irish owned record company whose aim is to produce high
quality recordings of Irish Traditional and Acoustic based music.
Since our inception in June 1998, we have produced six albums, all of
which have been critically acclaimed, both for content and quality of
production. The music has it's roots in the Irish Tradition, but has an
innovative edge, and the artists are all influenced, and it shows, by music
of other genres. Consequently, our albums, while having Irish Music as a
base, all include music from other traditions while keeping an
inherent Irish sound.
"Malgamú" is an Irish word which means "amalgamation", and this joining together of styles is at the heart of our philosophy.
